Working with Mangamo, our team was tasked with designing and developing an innovative manga reading experience unlike any other platform out there.

As part of the creative team, I worked on the product design and solidifying Mangamo's tone of voice and bold visual identity. I was also tasked with creating Mangamo's site and marketing assets for the app's launch.

DESIGNING 'THE NETFLIX OF MANGA'
Most online manga readers resort to pirated content that can be low quality, poorly translated, or overall inconsistent.
Mangamo seeks to change the game by offering readers a high-quality mobile reading experience using a subscription model. The app gives users hundreds of titles at the palm of their hand, while also bringing exclusive manga straight from Japan.

DELIVERING A SEAMLESS READING EXPERIENCE
During the creative process, our main objective was to make the reading experience feel completely natural and personal to the user.
We designed multiple view layouts, an intuitive navigation mode, filtering and sorting options, as well as the ability to keep track of your reading progress.

CELEBRATING THE ART OF MANGA
We wanted the app to showcase and elevate the artwork, with minimal obtrusive elements and an interface that feels like part of the world of manga.

The final product is a fresh, intuitive reader that manga lovers will appreciate and that feels uniquely Mangamo.

At the end of the design process, I had the chance to work on the marketing efforts for the app’s beta launch. Working with the client, we set out to define the brand's identity and tone of voice. I created the design of the main site, web banners, social media posts, etc.
